Do Real Estate Agents Need to Go to College?

HomeServices Real Estate Academy • May 20, 2024

Real estate agents do not need to attend college, but they do need to complete a real estate agent course and earn a license to become an agent. The length of the program varies depending on which state you live in. Fortunately, HomeServices Real Estate Academy has programs available for residents of Kentucky and Indiana and will soon add one for Ohio! These meet your state's requirements and prepare you for what you'll encounter as a real estate agent. We offer real estate agent classes online and in person for your convenience.

  • After completing the pre-license course, students must pass the state exam for the states where they plan to work.
  • After passing the exam, students in Indiana and Kentucky must apply for a license.

Should You Take Real Estate Agent Classes Online or In-Person?

Whether taking a class online or in person is best depends on you. For some people, catching up on class around a busy work or home life is the perfect solution. These people usually manage their time well and aren't distracted by outside things.

For others, in-person classes might be best because they require being somewhere at a particular time and eliminating outside distractions.

At HomeServices Real Estate Academy, we offer both online and in-person classes to meet your needs best.
